The Barco wePresent WiPG-1600W device has an SSH daemon included in the firmware image. By default, the SSH daemon is disabled and does not start at system boot. The system initialization scripts read a device configuration file variable to see if the SSH daemon should be started. The web interface does not provide a visible capability to alter this configuration file variable. However, a malicious actor can include this variable in a POST such that the SSH daemon will be started when the device boots.","severity":{"version":"3.1","score":7.5,"vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","level":"high","assessor":"primary","from":"nvd"},"epss":{"day":"2026-11-07","score":0.01694,"percentile":0.77258,"model":"v2026.06.15"},"facts":{"in_kev":false,"known_exploited":false,"public_exploit":false,"fix_available":false},"published":"2020-11-24T17:38:53Z","modified":"2026-06-17T03:10:17Z","products":[{"vendor":"barco","product":"wepresent_wipg-1600w_firmware"}],"references":[{"url":"http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/160162/Barco-wePresent-Undocumented-SSH-Interface.html","tags":["x_refsource_MISC","x_transferred","Third Party Advisory","VDB Entry"]},{"url":"https://korelogic.com/Resources/Advisories/KL-001-2020-007.txt","tags":["x_refsource_MISC","x_transferred","Third Party Advisory"]},{"url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2020-28331"},{"url":"https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-x6px-569j-4j5q"}],"sources":{"cve":[{"id":"CVE-2020-28331","description":"Barco wePresent WiPG-1600W devices have Improper Access Control.
