Prior to version 5.9.2, a user with read-only credentials can use a malformed OID in a `GET-NEXT` to the `nsVacmAccessTable` to cause a NULL pointer dereference. Version 5.9.2 contains a patch. Users should use strong SNMPv3 credentials and avoid sharing the credentials. Those who must use SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c should use a complex community string and enhance the protection by restricting access to a given IP address range.","severity":{"version":"3.1","score":6.5,"vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","level":"medium","assessor":"cna","from":"cve"},"epss":{"day":"2026-11-07","score":0.01114,"percentile":0.66237,"model":"v2026.06.15"},"facts":{"in_kev":false,"known_exploited":false,"public_exploit":false,"fix_available":true},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"published":"2022-07-08T11:42:00Z","modified":"2026-11-03T08:00:19Z","fixes":[{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.13","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.14","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.15","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.16","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.17","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.18","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.19","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.20","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.21","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.22","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.23","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.24","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3-r0"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Debian:12","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3+dfsg-1"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Debian:13","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3+dfsg-1"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Debian:14","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.3+dfsg-1"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Ubuntu:Pro:14.04:LTS","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.7.2~dfsg-8.1ubuntu3.3+esm3"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Ubuntu:Pro:16.04:LTS","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.7.3+dfsg-1ubuntu4.6+esm1"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Ubuntu:18.04:LTS","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.7.3+dfsg-1.8ubuntu3.7"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Ubuntu:20.04:LTS","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.8+dfsg-2ubuntu2.4"],"sources":["osv"]},{"ecosystem":"Ubuntu:22.04:LTS","package":"net-snmp","fixed_in":["5.9.1+dfsg-1ubuntu2.2"],"sources":["osv"]}],"affected":[{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.13","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.14","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.15","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.16","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.17","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.18","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.19","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.20","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.21","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.22","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.23","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"Alpine:v3.24","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"5.9.3-r0"}]}]},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"AlmaLinux:9","package":"net-snmp","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"1:5.9.1-13.el9_4.3"}]}],"bundled":6},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"AlmaLinux:9","package":"net-snmp-agent-libs","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"1:5.9.1-13.el9_4.3"}]}],"bundled":6},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"AlmaLinux:9","package":"net-snmp-devel","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"1:5.9.1-13.el9_4.3"}]}],"bundled":6},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"AlmaLinux:9","package":"net-snmp-libs","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":"1:5.9.1-13.el9_4.3"}]}],"bundled":6},{"source":"osv","ecosystem":"AlmaLinux:9","package":"net-snmp-perl","ranges":[{"type":"ECOSYSTEM","events":[{"introduced":"0"},{"fixed":
