In fastrpc_internal_invoke of drivers/misc/fastrpc.c, there is a possible way for user-mode processes to send fastrpc kernel requests due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.

Updated kernel packages fix security issues
This kernel update is based on upstream 5.10.25 and fixes at least the following security issues:
Unprivileged BPF programs running on affected systems can bypass the protection and execute speculatively out-of-bounds loads from any location within the kernel memory. This can be abused to extract contents of kernel memory via side-channel (CVE-2020-27170).
Unprivileged BPF programs running on affected 64-bit systems can exploit this to execute speculatively out-of-bounds loads from 4GB window within the kernel memory. This can be abused to extract contents of kernel memory via side-channel (CVE-2020-27171).
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.11.3. A kernel pointer leak can be used to determine the address of the iscsi_transport structure. When an iSCSI transport is registered with the iSCSI subsystem, the transport's handle is available to unprivileged users via the sysfs file system, at /sys/class/iscsi_transport/$TRANSPORT_NAME/handle. When read, the show_transport_handle function (in drivers/scsi/scsi_transport_iscsi.c) is called, which leaks the handle. This handle is actually the pointer to an iscsi_transport struct in the kernel module's global variables (CVE-2021-27363).
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.11.3. drivers/scsi/ scsi_transport_iscsi.c is adversely affected by the ability of an unprivileged user to craft Netlink messages (CVE-2021-27364).
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.11.3. Certain iSCSI data structures do not have appropriate length constraints or checks, and can exceed the PAGE_SIZE value. An unprivileged user can send a Netlink message that is associated with iSCSI, and has a length up to the maximum length of a Netlink message (CVE-2021-27365).
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.11.6. fastrpc_internal_invoke in drivers/misc/fastrpc.c does not prevent user applications from sending kernel RPC messages (CVE-2021-28375).
It also adds the following fixes:
- arm(64): enable W1_MASTER_GPIO (mga#28596)
- wireguard-tools have been updated to v1.0.20210315
For other upstream fixes, see the referenced changelogs.

Updated kernel-linus packages fix security issues
This kernel-linus update is based on upstream 5.10.25 and fixes at least the following security issues:
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in the Linux kernel's GPU Nouveau driver functionality in versions prior to 5.12-rc1 in the way the user calls ioctl DRM_IOCTL_NOUVEAU_CHANNEL_ALLOC. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system. (CVE-2020-25639).
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.11.3, as used with Xen PV. A certain part of the netback driver lacks necessary treatment of errors such as failed memory allocations (as a result of changes to the handling of grant mapping errors). A host OS denial of service may occur during misbehavior of a networking frontend driver. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2021-26931. (CVE-2021-28038 / XSA-367)
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel 5.9.x through 5.11.3, as used with Xen. In some less-common configurations, an x86 PV guest OS user can crash a Dom0 or driver domain via a large amount of I/O activity. The issue relates to misuse of guest physical addresses when a configuration has CONFIG_XEN_UNPOPULATED_ALLOC but not CONFIG_XEN_BALLOON_MEMORY_HOTPLUG. (CVE-2021-28039 / XSA-369)
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel through 5.11.6. fastrpc_internal_invoke in drivers/misc/fastrpc.c does not prevent user applications from sending kernel RPC messages (CVE-2021-28375).
It also adds a critical fix for filesystem level corruption:
- on setups with swapfiles on filesystems sitting on top of brd, zram, btt or pmem, then when the system starts to swap out pages, at which point it corrupts filesystem blocks that don't belong to the swapfile.
It also adds the following fixes:
- arm(64): enable W1_MASTER_GPIO (mga#28596)
For other upstream fixes, see the referenced changelogs.

Security update for the Linux Kernel
The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3 Azure kernel was updated to receive various security and bugfixes.
The following security bugs were fixed:
- CVE-2021-33200: Enforcing incorrect limits for pointer arithmetic operations by the BPF verifier could be abused to perform out-of-bounds reads and writes in kernel memory (bsc#1186484).
- CVE-2021-33034: Fixed a use-after-free when destroying an hci_chan. This could lead to writing an arbitrary values. (bsc#1186111)
- CVE-2020-26139: Fixed a denial-of-service when an Access Point (AP) forwards EAPOL frames to other clients even though the sender has not yet successfully authenticated to the AP. (bnc#1186062)
- CVE-2021-23134: A Use After Free vulnerability in nfc sockets allowed local attackers to elevate their privileges. (bnc#1186060)
- CVE-2021-3491: Fixed a potential heap overflow in mem_rw(). This vulnerability is related to the PROVIDE_BUFFERS operation, which allowed the MAX_RW_COUNT limit to be bypassed (bsc#1185642).
- CVE-2021-32399: Fixed a race condition when removing the HCI controller (bnc#1184611).
- CVE-2020-24586: The 802.11 standard that underpins Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2, and WPA3) and Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) doesn't require that received fragments be cleared from memory after (re)connecting to a network. Under the right circumstances this can be abused to inject arbitrary network packets and/or exfiltrate user data (bnc#1185859).
- CVE-2020-24587: The 802.11 standard that underpins Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2, and WPA3) and Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) doesn't require that all fragments of a frame are encrypted under the same key. An adversary can abuse this to decrypt selected fragments when another device sends fragmented frames and the WEP, CCMP, or GCMP encryption key is periodically renewed (bnc#1185859 bnc#1185862).
- CVE-2020-24588: The 802.11 standard that underpins Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA, WPA2, and WPA3) and Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) doesn't require that the A-MSDU flag in the plaintext QoS header field is authenticated. Against devices that support receiving non-SSP A-MSDU frames (which is mandatory as part of 802.11n), an adversary can abuse this to inject arbitrary network packets. (bnc#1185861)
- CVE-2020-26147: The WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 implementations reassemble fragments, even though some of them were sent in plaintext. This vulnerability can be abused to inject packets and/or exfiltrate selected fragments when another device sends fragmented frames and the WEP, CCMP, or GCMP data-confidentiality protocol is used (bnc#1185859).
- CVE-2020-26145: An issue was discovered with Samsung Galaxy S3 i9305 4.4.4 devices. The WEP, WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 implementations accept second (or subsequent) broadcast fragments even when sent in plaintext and process them as full unfragmented frames. An adversary can abuse this to inject arbitrary network packets independent of the network configuration. (bnc#1185860)
- CVE-2020-26141: An issue was discovered in the ALFA driver for AWUS036H, where the Message Integrity Check (authenticity) of fragmented TKIP frames was not verified. An adversary can abuse this to inject and possibly decrypt packets in WPA or WPA2 networks that support the TKIP data-confidentiality protocol. (bnc#1185987)
- CVE-2021-29650: Fixed an issue with the netfilter subsystem that allowed attackers to cause a denial of service (panic) because net/netfilter/x_tables.c and include/linux/netfilter/x_tables.h lack a full memory barrier upon the assignment of a new table value (bnc#1184208).
- CVE-2021-29155: Fixed an issue that was discovered in kernel/bpf/verifier.c that performs undesirable out-of-bounds speculation on pointer arithmetic, leading to side-channel attacks that defeat Spectre mitigations and obtain sensitive information from kernel memory. Specifically, for sequences of pointer arithmetic operations, the pointer modification performed by the first operation was not correctly accounted for when…

Specifically, for sequences of pointer arithmetic operations, the pointer modification performed by the first operation was not correctly accounted for when restricting…

Security update for the Linux Kernel
The SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 SP3 kernel was updated to receive various security and bugfixes.
